In the Garden on Thursday

We have a garden, so we thought we would participate in the Society of Feline Gardeners with Jonesie and Figaro

Mike here, and I am showing you around our Garden today.

This flowering bush is 'climbing honeysuckle'. It does need a fence to climb on, a sturdy fence preferrably. Actually there are two bushes here - one is rosey pink and the other orangey pink. I can't believe I am saying this; it's as if I know what I am talking about!!

The hummingbirds really like this bush, here is a close-up of the flowers.

Next up is one of our yummy-looking critters. It takes birdseed and hides it in several of its dens.

This is another visitor to our garden. I am thinking it is called Hummingbird Moth. Anyone know for sure?

Okay, moving along. This is our bird bath and some hostas.

Nearby is a Japanese Fern.

You are probably wondering by now, how I know so much about gardening. It is all written out for me. I was bribed asked if I would do this while my sisfur and brofur went off to Bora Bora.

I have one more critter picture to show you, and it's a lovely delicious-looking robin.

That's all for this week, the end, I quit! I am so exhausted.....I need a nap. Please have some nip-ade, and find your own way out.

Cheers, Mike

Bora Bora Here We Come

The two of us, Moe and Mindy, have decided to join Gracie in Bora Bora!

Yesterday at our place, it thundered loudly for hours and we don't like that. Tonight the thunder and lightening has started up again - is there no end to this? Of course, that means it is raining again, too. We were going to join Cory to attend the weekly meeting of the Society of Feline Gardeners at the Headquarters. However, because of the impossible weather and our mom's busy, we packed and have already left and arrived to absolutely beautiful weather.......Oh, we feel so much better!!

We left BonBon, Cookie and Mike behind because they couldn't all agree on when and if they are coming. Also, we told them they were packing way too much stuff, so that caused a very heated discussion. So, in a nutshell - a coconut one - they are going to make their own arrangements.

Oh, this is the life! Later, we're going fishing, and meet up with our friends.

Rainbow, Thunder and Lightening

On Tuesday our day went well, until about 5:00 pm......

See us? - Moe and Mindy - in the stairwell, where we feel safe.
We heard noises outside da house. Mom went out on the deck to check. This is what she saw.

We were informed that a thunderstorm was beginning. Our powers went out - twice! We decided to keep hiding in the stairwell. It rained very hard and thunder rolled. After an hour it got brighter. We saw a glimpse of the sun and then this rainbow!

There are two rainbows in this picture.

We enjoyed the rainbow lots, we liked the colors.

The sun was setting, and we thought the storm was over, but oh, no!

This time mombean got a photo of lightening! The storm was NOT over.

Mindy: I stayed put in the stairwell, but Moe ran under the bed. We were stuck in our hide-y places until after midnight!! Can you guess that we do not like storms that flash and boom?

Monday With BonBon

I am also known as 'Bono' at the place where I am living now because my old nickname "Bonnie" didn't suit a mancat, mombean says. She found out that I am sixteen years old. I could have told her that, but I let her figure it out for herself.

Mombean says I always look this sad, even when I am happy.

When I needed a home, my new family took me in. That was about two years ago, or maybe it was three, I don't keep track.

When I was at my old home, I was a 'scaredy-cat because there was a lot of other cats there too, and some were bullies. I spent a lot of time on my own in the kitchen on a window sill. It was okay though, but I was very happy to leave there and come to live here, where I am now. I get along with my new buddies that came here before me.

My favorite things in life are mealtimes, sleeping, watching water run out of the tap and getting attention from my beans. I give purrs and headbutts when I am content, but still all low-key expressions of affection. I have been known to chase the occasional feather thingy, but that stuff is for the younger kitties here - you know, the ten year old ones.

I have a favorite cardboard box lined with a soft towel to curl up in. If you have any questions for me, you will find me asleep in my box.
