Photo Hunt - Wild

Photo Hunters
The Photo Hunters Scavenger Hunt was started by tnchick, and anyone can play along.

We were born wild. We spent the first six months of our lives outside.

We are Rich, Rich!....not

Mom is helping us with our blog. She took a break to check her email. She started to giggle uncontrollably. We got curious, so she showed us this email:

Address:33 Bedford Row
London WC1R 4JH, England
ALAN ORGAN & ASSOCIATES
LONDON - UK.

Attention:

On behalf of the Trustees and Executor of the estate of Late Engr. Jurgen
Krugger. I once again try to notify you as my earlier letter was returned
undelivered. I hereby attempt to reach you again by this same email
address on the WILL. I wish to notify you that late Jurge Krugger made
you a beneficiary in his WILL. He left the sum of Thirty Million, One
Hundred Thousand Dollars (USD$30, 100.000.00) to you in the Codicil and
last testament to his WILL.

This may sound strange and unbelievable to you, but it is real and true.
Being a widely travelled man, he said he met you sometime in the past or
simply you were nominated to him by one of his numerous friends abroad who
wished you good, I am not too sure again.

We got so excited! Think of all the homeless and hungry animals we could help with that money. There'd be enough dollars to get a few truckloads of Temptations. Then mom (the voice of reason) said she gets emails like this a lot. She said they are scams. She said she never, ever replies. We are disappointed, of course.

Mindy: See the look of disappointment on my face?

Mom cheered me up, she gave me a treat.

Whose floof is this?

Moe: Did you all guess that it's mine?

Two On Thursday

Mombean had a crazy idea that the ice box needed defrosting yesterday. Frosting on it? Well if you say so mom. She ended up disrupting our favorite room, the kitchen. The icebox is as big as the cold box. There was lots of ice buildup because it is an upright and every time the door opens lots of warm air goes in. The cooler from the basement was in the middle of the floor to keep the goodies frozen. There was water all over the floor. There was a big fan blowing into the icebox. This took almost all day. We were not happy and find this activity very unacceptable. Why doesn't mom just get rid of the cold box, there is nothing edible in it anyway - everything is too cold and hard as rock.

Oh, there was one thing that made us very happy. We saw sonbean take out a box of shrimp. He told us that it needs to go into the cold box for 24 hours to thaw slowly. Whatever, but the good news is that by today the shrimp, precooked, will be ready to eat.......happy, happy dance. We just know that sonbean will share, he knows what we had to put up with.

We need shrimp.

Dadbean will you give me some scritches?

See these toes?

They are mine!

We are amazed. Blogger has been nice to us lately. Even letting us upload photos and autosaving again without a fuss.

Don't Touch That Button!

We overheard the sonbeans and mom discussing the possible end of the world occuring sometime today. We hardly understood the words 'massive particle accelerator'. We got our hopes up thinking that they were talking about increasing our supply of stinky goodness. Next we heard that switching on the 'the machine' might cause black holes capable of swallowing the Earth. What? We haven't heard anything about such a thing! They were quick to reassure each other that this might NOT happen either. The problem seemed to be that this device has never been tested and today is the day they are 'throwing the switch'.... Yikes!

In the event that things go badly today I (Mindy) want everyone to know for the record that Moe needs his nails trimmed. Mom are you listening? I got injured during an exchange of whaps.

Moe: Well, Mindy, you were supposed to counter my attack! Instead you got your nose in the way. Huh, when I had a scratched nose why didn't I post a photo for the world to see? Now it seems I maybe too late.

We have our paws crossed that everything goes okay. If not, mom will be crabilated - it's her day off.

It's so nice to see the sun and follow the patch of sun across the floor.

And spend my time grooming - in the sun

Where is this sunshine you are talking about?

6 Unspectacular Quirks About Us

Ages ago now, Black Cat tagged us for
the "6 unspectacular quirks meme". We really enjoyed her meme because it featured some kitties she used to share her life with. They sound like they were wonderful cats. Our beans are not renovating the kitchen anymore or going away right now so we got them to help us with this
meme. We hope you enjoy reading about us.

The rules:
Link to the one who tagged you. List the rules on your blog. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks
of yours. Tag some blogger friends with links. Leave a comment on their blog to let them know
they've been tagged.

Moe

1. I am fascinated by moving water. I like to sit on the edge of the washing machine and
watch the water run in. In the bathroom I will put my paws on the seat of the toilet and watch
the water swirl. Do you think I could learn to push that handle thingie myself? Oh, and I put
my paw in our water dish just to see the water move, then I take a drink.

2. I am another one that likes to be at the door when our beans come in.

3. I love catnip and I am usually a calm and cool mancat. There is something about that 'nip
that makes me lose control. My beans won't dare to touch me then because they see the claws
are out and I can't help whipping those through the air. The beans say I am seeing things.

4. My beans say I snore when I am in a deep sleep. Don't believe it!

5. My absolute favorite toy is a bright red dot. Our beans stand idlely by while this amazing
red spot travels over the floor and up the walls. It's hard to catch. Mindy thinks it's
boring. Sometimes it's not red, just very bright, but I love to chase because it is so fast.

6. Sometimes when I am starving, okay I am hungry all the time, I have to feed myself. I am
very good at opening the cupboard and finding the Temptations bag. Then it's easy to get my
face in there and just help myself. In times of desperation, I will push the food container
off the countertop. The top almost always comes off - and out comes food! yes no kidding! I
love food so much that when sonbean was eating something yummy he shared with me. It was a
chicken strip. Mom was surprised I ate it because there was no chicken in it. She said
sonbean is vegan and does not eat meat. Ha, it was tasty with or without meat!! Am I becoming
vegan?

Mindy

1. I love, love tummy rubs. I can't get enough of them. What is quirky about that you ask?
I only want them from mombean. I am nervous of the male beans in the house. It's my
upbringing you know. I was rescued by a food lady and she took good care of me.

2. I am brave. Last week there were so many thunderstorms. I stuck close to mombean, but
didn't hide. Okay, I was a little bit scared. Moe, however, was no where to be found during
those noisy storms.

3. Every, yes every time mombean changes the beds in our house I am right in the middle of
things. I want those tummy rubs right then and there. Then sometimes mombean puts her hand
under the sheets and I forget it's her hand because it's so much fun to pounce and whap the
hidden moving thing.

4. When I had to go to the vet for my checkup I gave my beans a difficult time and didn't want
to go into the PTU. I don't like small, confined spaces with doors on them. Once I got to the
vet's office my beans worried I'd have to be sedated to be examined. I fooled them, ha. I was
a model of sweetness and calm. They couldn't believe it.

5. Our stairwell has a wooden railing. When the beans come up the stairs, I like to stick my
paw through the rungs and try to snag them as they go by. Hee, hee that is lots of fun, and I
am gone by the time they get to the top of the stairs.

6. Of the two of us cats, I have the loudest, and most unique purr. I can also do a lip curl
on one side of my mouth, that's a little bit cheeky I guess, but the beans think it's funny.

Is there anyone that hasn't done this meme? If not, you are tagged by us!

This is how I am going to spend the rest of today.

I want to look my best.

This female hummer was still around as of yesterday. She definitely has her bags packed though. The males have already left for the south. We will miss the little birds. Their leaving means summer is almost gone. See you in May little birdie, we'll have the feeder out for you.
